Information about the ‘skeleton’ provision..

Information was published last night to guide the school closure process. You can find it here:

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-maintaining-educational-provision/guidance-for-schools-colleges-and-local-authorities-on-maintaining-educational-provision

The over-riding message is the government ‘has asked parents to keep their children at home, wherever possible, and asked schools to remain open only for those children who absolutely need to attend.

We remain open for key workers’ children, when they ‘ absolutely need to attend’, as detailed in the list, but only while they are attending work. At others times, the children should be cared for ‘safely at home’. We do this so ‘fewer children making the journey to school, and the fewer children in educational settings….lower the risk that the virus can spread and infect vulnerable individuals in wider society.’

Please inform us via email, if you believe you are a key worker, and when you will need your child to attend. This must be your working days only.

This is a huge sacrifice we are all making to protect our vulnerable people.

Other children, such as those with a social worker or an EHCP may also attend, but we already have this information and will liaise with the parents directly.

Please remember, there will be a limited skeleton staff on site at any one time, but if our staff members become ill, we may not be able to continue with the service. I will email more details later this morning.
